The Kassiwi training: Management of the Assets of the Incompetent in the Aboriginal Communities of Quebec, is a training that took shape following a problematic curatorship file on the community of Odanak. The Department of Aboriginal and Northern Affairs Canada (AANC) and the Grand Council of the Waban-aki Nation therefore joined forces to create something that could clarify the roles and responsibilities of each of the responsible authorities when an Indian individual, as defined by law, is faced with incapacity and lives on a reserve.
